Footballer Visits School

There was a buzz of excitement around Hillbrook on Wednesday 8th May, as the ex-Premier League and England footballer, Jermaine Jenas, visited to launch a healthy eating campaign (BEKO Eat Like A Pro).  Alongside his message of making healthy food choices was the importance of regular exercise, so we put him through his paces by setting up a football relay, tyre-rolling and mini Olympics. The Year 3 children then took part in a Q&A session, discussing healthy eating, exercise and, of course, his football career.  Jermaine and his team were very impressed with our school - especially the behaviour and enthusiasm of the children - well done us!

Special thanks go to Mr Casey, Mr Richardson, Year 3 staff and children as well as the other pupils who took part in this fantastic day.

Yeheskel said, "It felt awesome to be stood next to one of the world's best footballers.  I learnt that when you eat healthy food you do more sport".
