Hillbrook Children Participate in Wandsworth's MUNGA
On Wednesday 18th June, six Year 5 pupils took part in Wandsworth's MUNGA (Model United Nations General Assembly). The children described the day as 'scary' and 'amazing' as they took part in debating activities in Wandsworth Town Hall's council chambers. They excitedly came away with a runners up prize for the poster competition and were in the top four out of ten schools in the debating competition. We were immensely proud of their achievements especially as Jacob was named in the local paper as one of the best speakers of the day. Speaking and listening is one of the areas that we are focusing on at Hillbrook. We believe that it is the foundation of our literacy learning and we aim for all of our pupils to leave primary school with the confidence to express themselves.
