Year 5 Trip to the British Museum
The trip to the British museum was an exciting experience and the perfect opportunity to expand our knowledge of Ancient Greek history. The exhibits in each gallery were filled with priceless artefacts giving us an insight into Ancient Greece. As we journeyed through the museum, we had tasks to complete from the information and displays.
We learnt about the Nereid Tomb and the Elgin marbles, which are part of the Parthenon.
We saw Greek pots with paintings of Gods and heroes; ancient Greek armour; bronze tools and we were fortunate enough to touch genuine ancient Greek coins that were over 2500 years old!
We highly recommend this museum. It is free to visit!
