Hillbrook Primary School

Be Responsible · Be Resilient · Be Reflective

Uniform

At Hillbrook, we pride ourselves in being smart, well presented and ready for learning. It is our school policy that school uniform is compulsory and all children wear uniform when attending school, or when participating in school–organised events in or outside normal school hours. We ask children to adhere to our uniform policy and to take pride in their personal appearance.

Items of school uniform with our school logo on can be bought from School Uniform Direct (click here for details) whilst others are very easily available, at reasonable and competitive prices, at local shops and supermarkets. Whilst we prefer to have children in uniform with the school logo on, it is not compulsory in any way.

School Uniform List

Our school uniform consists of:

  • Black, navy or grey trousers (no logos)
  • Black, navy or grey skirts, pinafore dresses
  • Blue and white gingham summer dresses
  • Black, navy or white headscarves
  • White or blue polo shirts
  • Navy sweatshirts, jumpers, fleece tops or cardigans
  • Black, navy, grey or white socks or tights
  • Flat black shoes / black or white trainers (no logos)

Order name tags from the following link and use the code "324" to help us raise funds at the same time!

PE/Games kit

Children are allowed to wear PE kits to school if they have PE on that day and will not be asked to get changed.

  • Plain white PE t-shirt
  • Navy, black or grey sports shorts
  • Navy, black or grey jogging bottoms or leggings
  • Black or white trainers (no logos)

Note that ear-rings or watches must be removed before doing PE lessons.

Jewellery, hair ornaments, headscarves, make-up and nail varnish

For many reasons, including health and safety, we do not allow children to wear jewellery. The exceptions to this rule are ear-ring studs in pierced ears and watches. Children must remove these items during P.E lessons to prevent them from causing injury. These items are worn at children’s own risk and the school cannot take any responsibility for any loss.

Why School Uniform is Important

We believe that wearing school uniform helps to promote unity and team spirit among our pupils.

Thank you for your continued support in helping to build a strong future for the children of Hillbrook Primary School.
